How to Find us:
Korematsu Middle School’s Temporary Campus is located directly across from Cerrito Vista Park (Pomona Ave and Moeser Lane). Park on Pomona Ave or Moeser and enter through the Moeser gate. Map of the temporary campus can be found here.

Registration days: August 11th for 7th graders, August 12th for 8th graders, August 13th makeup day for all grades. 9:00am-12:00pm. Please see the packet that was mailed home for hour-long time slots by last name. If you need any registration forms, most can be found at http://korematsumiddleschool.org/forms/.

First day of school is Monday, August 24th. First bell rings at 8:05am, students must be in their seats ready to learn at 8:10am. The first day of school (and all Wednesdays) will be a minimum day, out at 1:25pm. Drop off and pick up on sidewalks along Portola Dr and Moeser Lane. Please don’t block crosswalks.

We’re looking forward to a fantastic 2015-16 school year!

The Portola (class of 2018) squad from last year​ came out​ rockin’ the old school green jerseys versus this year’s Korematsu (class of 2019) team in red.

The ​historic ​stage​ was set​… Green vs red. Old vs new. Toros vs Phoenix. ​ Portola vs Korematsu.​

​ At stake was a lifetime of bragging rights.

The younger Korematsu squad had something to prove. They wanted to back up their 13-1 regular season record and citywide championship with a win. ​They were up 9 at halftime. ​

The Portola team​, ​their backs up against the wall​ and playing with the desperation of a big brother refusing to let the younger one win, quickly cut the lead to five and then three to start the 2nd half. It remained a one possession game for the rest of the second half. The game was deadlocked 56-56 with less than a minute to go. Finally, with only eight seconds left on the clock, Portola scored two points to put the game away.

Final score: 58 Portola – 56 Korematsu
